42 (2013) Movie Review

42 is a movie about the life of Jackie Robinson, the famous first African-American to play in the US Major League Baseball (MLB). The journey of a man before he becomes a legend and how he twists the great American dream. This article imparts information about the film how the movie watchers have viewed it.

Portraying the legend’s story

The film has done a lot of research and study on this film. It has presented the story with solid statements and facts. It shows how this young man starts his journey, his success, problems, and failures. Clearly, the film indulges a fuss on the man's life story. The major point that people see in this portrayal is that the focus of the film is more on the success of Robinson in enduring the hardship of racism while forcing his way to Baseball stardom.

Jackie Robinson was given life by Chadwick Boseman. The actor is not new in the industry but this role has given him a sparkling highlight. He has shown great acting in the film and it was not a surprised because Chadwick is a graduate of the British American Drama Academy and have played many roles in numbers of TV shows. Although this is his second film but the feedback from critics and fans regarding his talent are more positive in this film. Simply marvelous showmanship of acting and emotions from Boseman.  

Harrison Ford has impressed us again in this film. Playing as Branch Rickey, he greatly portrayed an old and kind friend and at the same time a shrewd baseball businessman. He clearly present Rickey as an opportunity bringer and a supportive head of the team.

Acting as the wife of Jackie is Nicole Beharie. A supportive and loving partner of the legend that was well portrayed by Nicole. Her last major film was in 2008 titled as American Violet. The film is also based on a true story and tackled discrimination for black people. She acts so fitting for both film and truly notable.

Others stars such as Christopher Meloni, Ryan Merriman, and Lucas Black performed splendid performance that adds to the story’s conflict and emotions.

The focus of 42 (2013) movie is a more current information about Jackie. The stars have done well playing their part and the cinematic is right and proper.
